Lanny Jackson I would like for the world see how Alabama legislatures cut deals with local officials and steal from the people: State Senator J.T. (Jabo) Waggoner Suite 726 11 South Union Street Montgomery, AL 36130 Dear Senator Waggoner; The 1901 Alabama Const Read more ... itution at the beginning was drafted and designed to disenfranchised blacks and poor whites in Alabama. The state Constitution through the legislating process allows state elected officials to just take whatever it wants from local municipalities and from its citizens without repercussions. This means the state can legally steal my property by passing a law. Mr. Waggoner, this is what you are doing now in Montgomery by passing out a committee a bill for full vote to take or steal, and is the more stronger term, passing a law that will take away the control of the Birmingham Water Works asset worth millions of dollars without the citizens permission is called stealing. And I remind you sir, the main purpose of the 1901 state Constitution was to disenfranchise and take their properties. Senator Waggoner, I think what insults me the most was the way you went about stealing Birmingham’s Water System. It really insulted my intelligence in the way you went at the Birmingham Water Works Board, the governing independent board that had no real binding authority. The board’s major authority lies with the Birmingham City Council. And yes, I know and pretty soon the whole city of Birmingham will know about the deal struck behind the citizens of Birmingham back, between the city council and Montgomery for a $5,000 pay raise for each of the nine members. And a silent council member not bringing this to the public’s attention is just as guilty in selling Birmingham out, the city they all sworn to serve and protect. And the little D’s, Jefferson County State Legislators were just as guilty of the people they represent on this theft by these state elected thieves. I might be able to see adding Shelby County because Birmingham extends into this county, but Walker County is all about coal mining, and it is no secret. The Birmingham Water Work Board has furiously fought Drummond Coal Mines in polluting our water using the Clean Water Act. Now with the bill passing you sponsor, the Birmingham water system is one of the best in the nation and rank 5th. I do not know how I am going to stop this theft and this attack on the people of Birmingham when your own city elected officials are a part of this coup d’état of stealing its own water asset from the people of Birmingham by giving control to the thief over in Homewood. I will be meeting with some friends of mine who works for CNN; they will soon to try to expose this mess nationwide, and try to rally the people of Birmingham to vote this city council out of office before giving away the cookie jar. They have lost my trust and soon hopefully other will join me in this fight. Judas sold out Jesus Christ for thirty pieces of sliver. The Judas Birmingham City Council has sold out the people of Birmingham for five pieces of silver.
