eish Bongz sorry for your front

I wanna know how a community in
this day and age can still be living
without even the basics which even
prisoners enjoy such as water,
sanitation, lighting

Thus after they sat down with local
municipality,the media are aware
of their situation, different political
party's are aware, different
goverment dept. Are aware and
party's are actually actively
pursuing these people's votes.I
understand process bt yoh where
do you draw the line or speed
things up and does somebody
always have to die before help
arrives.
Actively seeking help on the
matter...

Monde Gumede Mr Trevor Noah- (The Letter you’ll probs never read)
Thank You.
I first heard about you when I was in the 10th grade (“grade 10”, Represent). Walking along Musgrave road in Durban. My buddies Kyle and Tarquin (badly) recited lines from Day Walk
Read more ... er and I thought “comedian puts on accents and pokes at racial stereotypes, original AF.”
But I gave it a chance and actually really enjoyed it. Funny, informative, Middle ground for communication between myself and my (grand)parents, win-win.
Jump-Cut to Matric, one Shepston & Wylie internship later- Monde has turned his back on the prospect of law school, intoxicated by his 5 seconds on YO.TV, He elects to put off the America trip and move to Cape Town in stead to pursue a film career.
I learned a lot in the mother city. About people, politics, women and consciousness. I must admit , you had a role to play in this, Mr Noah. Over a few years, your comedy specials had moved from the go-to gift at Bengu/Gumede Christmas because Musica, to a social bounce board off which we could strike ideas.
Cape Town taught me a lot and there I met some phenomenal people who guided me and gave me a few breaks which began to hone my craft, but in order to do what I wanted to I would have to go to the Mecca of Filmmaking.
Two University Drop outs/gap years (eish) and a one way ticket later, I touch down at LAX.
On a slightly more serious note, this morning I lay in bed riddled with sadness. I see what’s happening in our planet and it breaks my heart. Hate, spewing more hate - ignorance perpetuating the cycle, calls for education back home met with Apartesque(*TM) force. Yet I lay here, helplessly aspiring to more than a Facebook Activist when someone sends me the link to Lost In Translation.(only semi-pirated)
When I heard you were shortlisted for the Top Desk at CC, my reaction mirrored that of my fathers, Obama V Mccain 2008. I was elated, though suspected America wasn't ready for it yet. I have never been happier to be wrong.
You inspire me Mr Noah, I want to thank you not as a South African but as a citizen of the world. What you do on the Daily(see what I did there) is nothing short of insane...
So insane that it could convince a 21-year-old Zulu boy form Durbs -well Maryland technically- that he could change Hollywood, and then the world.
Thank you, and goodluck. best,
M.
