Keller was taken from her breeder at 5 weeks old because she was facing death. Her breeder was going to kill her because of disabilites that they created. Keller is deaf and vision impaired due to a choice that an irresponsible and selfish human made Read more ... for her. Keller, like so many other double merles, lives in a world of silence. Despite her disabilties, Keller lives a very full life.
As humans, we tend to dwell on the idea of perfection, but dogs have no understanding of what's perfect and what isn't. Keller knows nothing other than what she was born with, and nothing slows her down.
We hope that through our page, Braille The Double Merle's page, and our non profit Keller's Cause, you can see that while these dogs shouldn't be bred, when they are they deserve loving homes and are capable of anything you set your mind to.
Remember, disabilities are only what you make them!
