Pibbles & More Animal Rescue, Inc - PMAR We are so happy that Obi is going to be off his DOH quarantine very soon!!! This poor little guy was rescued from the ACC back in November, but due to his numerous "bites of unknown origin" The only way his life would be spared was if he was sent off Read more ...
to a 6 month vet quarantine to monitor for rabies. It is most likely that this guy was used, abused and tossed out when he was no longer needed. Obi - despite being essentially locked up for 6 month has the best personality and is so full of fun and spirit it is amazing. He is super playful, loves attention and is just a little goofball. He is now just under a year, neutered, utd with vaccines and micro-chipped. So full of love and energy this little guy just wants to play and run - which can be expected. Obi "breaks out" on May 1st and we would love for him to have somewhere to go asap! City of Hartford Animal Shelter
This is Gimli - formerly known as Boogey Board or #475 from the City of Hartford Shelter. One of our most dedicated foster family's saved him back in January and brought him to their small farm in Maine and have just fallen in love -- but know they Read more ...
need to find him a new home of his own so we can continue to help other dogs in need. Here is his video from CoH https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtBqkrDtwPE&list=UUSDovocMewvDaMJWOT_aDTg&feature=c4-overview Gimli is about 3-4 years old, very sweet, very mellow and he has no aggression towards other dogs, food or toys. He has been neutered, he is up to date on shots and he has been micro-chipped. He is house trained, knows some basic commands and walks okay on a leash. While he does well with other dogs, he could probably be an okay single dog too as he is very mellow and just likes to chill. Gimli does like to give kisses and wiggle his way on to your lap when ever he can. His tail is always wagging and he is very handsome. We have been keeping him on a leash and exercising him because he seems like he might like to roam - so a fenced yard would probably be a good idea until he gets used to things. No cats would be a good idea also as he seems to be very interested in our chickens and livestock. He did have an ear infection when we first got him, but it seems to be doing much better now with regular cleanings and a healthy diet. This dog is just a love and would make anyone a great best friend! They will be very sad to see this dog move on from their family but know he will make some person or family a very good dog!! n Latsia. She is a small to medium sized girl, around two years old, very quiet and keeps mostly to herself. She is a dog that has lost her trust in people and needs the right family that will be patient and loving so that she can recover and learn to be happy again. It would be a pity for her to stay at the shelter any longer as she might completely shut down to humans. Please consider offering her a chance to live a happy life as a member of a family or share her story and help us find her a loving home!
