Lauren Holzman I would love for you all to come check out Mackinac Island, MI, which is an 8.2 mile round island located in the middle of Lake Huron. It was an ancient Indian burial ground before white settlers came about. I would love to name a specific haunted lo Read more ... cation on the island, ept the entire thing is haunted; ask anybody! I have lived/worked there for the last 5 summers and have had some weird, unexplainable things happen to me. Furthermore, I once had a guest - without me saying ANYTHING - admit to me that my employee housing (St. Cloud) was haunted. I know that the Ghost Hunters investigated Mission Point Resort, however there are so many more opportunities to investigate on the island. For starters, there is Fort Mackinac, which was originally established by the American's only to have its ownership go back and forth between the American's and the British. Additionally, there is Wawashkamo Golf Course, where the Battle of Mackinac took place in 1814. There is the Inn at Stonecliffe (formerly the Cudahy Mansion) where a woman hung herself in the apple orchard, and my friend's mom saw the apparition. There is also Chateau Lorraine, said to be haunted by a little girl, where I personally saw the profile of a woman, only to do a double take and her not be there. I am attached to this island in a way that I can not explain; There is something that continues to draw me back. It has also made me less of a skeptic and more of a believer. I wish I could share every ghost experience (and its location) I have heard concerning Mackinac Island, but alas I can not. Instead, I can only hope that one day you all choose to investigate Mackinac Island. Again, I can not stress enough how haunted this place is.
