Alex Salvado BANTAYAN ISLAND RALLY!!!
"May. 14, 2015"
People from different parts of the town gather near the Bantayan Church to make protest against ESA (Emergency Shelter Assistance). Protester saying that they waited long enough to receive an amount of money (
Read more ... from ESA) for their house to rebuild and other important needs for Yolanda (Haiyan) victims. But there are some complication about this ESA distribution due to the DSWD guidelines in which too many part of the town will be disqualified because of this 40 meters away from the sea. The biggest problem is that they make some guidelines to insure the safety of the people of bantayan island, but they did not provide some permanent place to relocate those people living in the sea side, Also the town mayor and other government official are not doing their job to provide some better solution to fix the problem. Unlikely people of bantayan town are asking why is that most of the people living in Madredijos and Sta. Fe town successfully distributed there ESA?, All the people living in this Bantayan Island are victims of Yolanda (Haiyan) catastrophe.
