California: The Tempest explores California’s state-of-mind as well as its challenges – from love, disaster, revenge, forgiveness, to earthquakes, drought, overdevelopment, food equity, state politics, and immigration policy. California: The Tempest is a result of two years of work across 10 state-wide communities as well as interviews with 100s of Californians to engage participants in writing and acting in the play.
