Investigator Arif Zahidov writes sanction on behalf of district prosecutor, he signs this sanction personally, print it from computer, endorse the seal. Then, ex secretary of the Court makes sentence on behalf of Judge, then, Secretary Samir Abdullayev personally signs this sanction instead of Judge and endorse falsificated seal on the sentence. Then, deputy commander in charge of policy of the prison # 14, swindler Natig Hajiyev and Aladdin Hajiyev make decision on behalf of Baku Appeal Court, they sign resolution of Baku Appeal Court instead of Judge, print resolution from printer and endorse seal under management and according to the order of the Chief of prison # 14 Arif Hasanov. To General Prosecutor Zahid Garalov, Supreme Court of Azerbaijan Ramiz Rzayev, Ombudsman Apparatus, National Security of Azerbaijan, Milli Mejlis Rabiyat Aslanov, Department of Corruption of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev. Everywhere, I sent appeals and complaints, as well as, to the Department of Letters and Receipt. There, these officers hide my appeals or complaint appeals from President, if only my complaints does not reach to the President Ilham Aliyev.
They insult my personality every day during 5 years under captivity without sanction and sentence of Court, they do attempt to my life in order to hide their crimes, they give me meal every day and write on this meal that eat this meal, we are Presidents, Kings, God here. I said to these officers of the prison that President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev signed decree on "Combat with corruption, absence of law, mockery", these officers of the prison # 14 begin to laught at me and said that as if your President does not know with which we are occupied, go and say what you want to say, we dont know and acknowledge President, we are here Presidents, Kings and God. We have millions of money, cars of foreign manufacture, villas, houses and facilities, and you, old man, you have not house, money, and we did you offender on the article of swindler. We are real swindlers, and no one can do to us anything, so, keep calm, don`t write to anywhere, if you will write we will kill you. Up to date, they call to my contact number, contact number of my son and wife with hidden numbers and sometimes with open numbers, they threat and blackmail us that don`t write complaint on internet, remove complaint from internet. Then they beat me two times with car, I survived miraculously. They listen to our phone conversations. We have not own apartment, we lease the apartment. We pay monthly rental in the amount of 250 manats, we hardly earn money for bread and for rent. You see that these swindlers have a lot of money, they do not know where to spent money. We, Salmanov`s family scare to live and to rest in Azerbaijan, they threat to kill us, blackmail us, no one defend us.
We Salmanov`s family ask polytical asylum in Germany, Belgium, Spain, France and Canada, to anywhere, but not in Azerbaijan. There is no defence of citizen, there is chaos in Azerbaijan, everyone do what he wants, so, no one punish them. It is very dangerous to live in this Republic. I claim from above stated persons compensation for moral damage of my family in the amount of 200,000$ from each person seperately, in total, 1 200 000 (one million two hundred thousand) $.
I ask you to examine my appeal to President Ilham Aliyev.

Ismayilova’s mother, Elmira Ismayilova, said the journalist laughed when she heard the sentence request.
According to a source who was present in the courtroom, the court may sentence Ismayilova when court reconvenes Aug. 26, or wait until the following day. Three lawyers are expected to speak, then final statements will be given before sentencing.
Based on previous cases, it is possible the judge could reduce the requested nine-year sentence to seven or seven-and-a-half years.
Ismayilova’s mother told reporters outside court today that her daughter “has never done anything bad. She's always spoken the truth.”
Commenting on the prosecutor’s requested sentence, she said, “I was expecting 15, they have asked for 9. How kind of them.”
Before her arrest in December 2014, Ismayilova reported extensively on corruption in the upper echelons of the Azerbaijani government.
She believes her investigative work is the real reason behind her legal troubles, claiming at a hearing on July 24 that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev “imprisoned me to hinder my journalistic activity.”
OCCRP has continued her work exposing corruption in Aliyev’s regime through an investigative journalism series called The Khadija Project. Most recently, OCCRP journalists created an interactive tool to document the billions stolen in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan has a poor record on free speech. According to human rights organizations, there are at least 80 political prisoners in Azerbaijan.
