Todos los 19 de abril se conmemora el Día Americano del Indio. Quiero adherirme a dicha conmemoración, compartiendo un breve relato de mi autoría, titulado “El adiós”. El mismo, dice así: “En la Read more ... s sombras, el indio vio el fogonazo, oyó el estampido y sintió el mortal aguijón. Herido, corrió a su izquierda y, bajo la frondosa copa de un árbol, se sentó. Allí cantó sus últimas coplas a la madre tierra, que tantos años lo cobijó. Sus ayes punzaban la quietud de los árboles, y su sangre regaba la tierra de los mortales. El dolor del adiós lo acogía en su seno, como a la semilla dormida, en su vientre ampara la flor. Los pájaros soñolientos, espantados por el ruido, huían del bramido de las armas y del indio. Aquella noche la luna lloró, su aflicción materna la desbordó. Y el hombre arisco, amante satelital, bajo un cielo sereno durmió su sueño fatal”.
