And while all this was happening, the J&K Police was having a nice time viewing the spectacle. And this has not happened for the first time. A similar event occurred with Engineer Rashid a few months back at the same place. (This reminds us of the recent events at the Jawaharlal Nehru University where an innocent student union leader is arrested on fake charges of sedition, beaten up by the Goons in the very court of Justice & this act goes un-noticed by the authorities.) And now the big question is. What exactly is BJP trying to prove? Is B.J.P. trying to depict that their personal & vested interests & policies stand above the law & order & constitution of the country? Well one thig is for sure. BJP& its sponsored allies are certainly doing whatever they can to send out a clear message of violence to all the Muslim Communities in the country. And it did not stop them from lashing out physically at Engineer Rashid with all their might right in front of the police. Twice! Ever since BJP formed Government in the Centre & the State of Jammu & Kashmir situation has gone from bad to worse. Last year the State of Jammu & Kashmir witnessed the first ever communal riots with the introduction of the “Beef Bill”.Then we saw Engineer Rashid being beaten up publicly in the State Assembly. If this is what can happen to a elected law maker who has sworn an oath to uphold the constitution of the country then what can a common law abiding citizen expect? Jammu Kashmir Itehad supports Engineer Rashid in his crusade. We acknowledge that his stand is justified. We request all Kashmiri’s to not only unite against these acts of barbarism but also to stand up & fight against these acts. It is now or never. We Kashmiri’s have been suppressed for ages.
