They took him to gigs and introduced him to musicians since he was a little child. After he played in several bands, he founded Darker Than Black, together with a few friends. Darker Than Black who introduce their style as „Shock Rock“ and „Dance Metal“ released one EP on Kieran's own label Scarybaby Records and are currently working on a second one. Although Kieran discovered his love to music through his parents, his style is more influenced by bands like Mötley Crüe and Marilyn Manson. Nevertheless, he's not just into the dark and rockish kind of music. He also gets inspired from a kind of way smoother kind of music like Leonard Cohen or Johnny Cash. Apart from that, Kieran is also a fan of soundtracks but here we go again with the darker stuff, speaking of composers like John Carpenter and Rob Zombie. It's not only his musical talent which makes Kieran so special, it's also his visual presence which strongly reminds one of the icon David Bowie. It can be some black nail polish, some glitter spray – as long as he likes it and it stands out! Kieran knows that not everybody likes this style: „They can't get their head round the fact that I'm a guy... but I wear nail polish.“ But that's the thing which makes him so unique, it's his sense for the visual. Again his parents were the ones who get him into this. When he was four years old, his mom showed him all the old Dracula movies and suddenly Kieran was both scared and fascinated. Fascinated about this creature which was so outstanding, yet so attractive. And that's what the singer wants to be on stage. A person, people cannot get away from. To say it in his own words: „You need to catch peoples eyes!“ Currently Kieran is working on his first solo project from which you hear a lot more very soon. You can definitely expect some glitter, some make-up, some darkness – but first of all: A mass of talent.
