The Wall Street Journal One of Venezuela’s most popular government opponents has had his prison sentence commuted and he has been released from jail

Newsweek Leopoldo Lopez had been imprisoned since 2015 for inciting anti-government protests.

The Wall Street Journal “Leopoldo López is innocent,” prosecutor Franklin Nieves said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, his first since fleeing Venezuela late last week and releasing a video saying the proceedings were bogus.

We have Leopoldo Lopez and governor of Tachira state Ceballos in a 240 hour hunger strike and I see no coverage at all in the media except for BBC. M Read more ... aybe Venezuela does not have as many dead in a raid as a Middle East country. But Venezuela, as you well know is a mega oil country that is so corrupt, entrenched that Caracas, the capital city ,is the number one dangerous city in the planet. Tens of thousands are dead per year due to crime. Maduro has handed Venezuela in a silver platter to Cuba and China. People have to spend 4 hours in a queue to get a package of 4 rolls of toilet paper. Yet, we live in a country, the US where all newsmedia has given in to sensacionalism!
