The red, white, and blue colors stand for America, while the three stars in the middle circle of our flag stand for the three main divisions of our state; East, Middle, and West Tennessee. Was this an error in reporting? I would like to know where this research came from please. Thank you!

Read more ... o leave the confederacy and was the only state that agreed unconditionally to all terms of surrender and all aspects of the reconstruction. Of all the southern states, TN is the LEAST of your problems when it comes to this issue.
FYI - I am California born and raised and a liberal so this is not coming from some blind defense of "southern values". I just happen to live in Nashville and am smart enough to know this history of the state in which I live. Do you research before you denigrate an entire state.
