The three days of celebration seem once again unstoppable, filled with moments not to be missed. Example of the same are the longed for Waits and Stops of bulls in the streets of Vila Franca de Xira, that put all on alert in a pleasant and appetizing adrenaline.
The Campinos Race, on Saturday morning, shows Ribatejo culture and the skill of the brave cattle masters. The solemn homage to Campino elected by his peers this year, Casimiro José Serrano Diogo, gathers the entire population, on Saturday afternoon, in Praça do Município, to see him erect Pampilho de Honra, where the name is inscribed to whom we pay Posthumous tribute: João Almeida Inácio.
Soon after this moment the colorful and lively Parade of Campinos, Knights and Amazons through the City takes place.
The emblematic Plaza de Toiros Palha Blanco marks the event, featuringu bullfighting shows, including the mixed bullfight on Sunday, July 2. On horseback, João Ribeiro Telles Jr., with bulls from cattle breeding David Ribeiro Telles. On foot, Juan José Padilla and António João Ferreira, with bulls of Falé Filipe. In the handles will be the Group of Forcados Amateurs of Vila Franca de Xira.
The tertúlias are part of the party with open doors, fomenting the conviviality in the streets.
On the night of "roasted sardines", the great concerts and Fado are an animation that remains to be remembered! The party culminates, with fireworks, on the waterfront, in the municipal garden of the City.
