The Congressional Gold Meda Read more ... l was awarded to the First Special Service Force today. This historic and heroic outfit was also nicknamed The Devil's Brigade (a movie was made about them, as well). The FSSF was a joint US/Canadian unit and had a significant impact on the outcome of WWII. I urge you to research this group. This outfit was the predecessor to today's special forces (Green Berets, SEALs, etc). Here are some links to related Facebook pages.
