Ferdinand Edralin Marcos Presidential Center Marcos supporters' Kailian March kicks off in Ilocos Norte
Calling for solidarity among those in favor of interring the remains of Former President Ferdinand E. Marcos (FEM) in the Libingan ng Mga Bayani (LNMB), Ilocano supporters began the four-day

Kailian is an Ilocano word used to address or identify fellow members of a community, signifying something even deeper than "fellow Ilocano." This mirrors Marcos supporters' call for nationwide unity through the burial of the late president and veteran.
Two unity masses were held in FEM's home province, at the San Agustin Church in Paoay and then at the St. John the Baptist Parish Church in Badoc.
Governor Marcos shared to fellow Ilocanos that "President Duterte once again reiterated what he knew to be right as a lawyer: that my father, a soldier, a president, and a war hero, should be buried at the [LNMB]."
"Batas 'yan… It is very clear to me na ang decision ko, tama. As a lawyer, I could only stick to what is the law," President Rodrigo R. Duterte had stated in an interview together with the governor.
Burying the late president at the LNMB had been one of his promises during the presidential campaign period, but cases filed at the Supreme Court led to the declaration of a temporary restraining order (TRO) on any burial preparations for Marcos.
"Sana natapos na ito noong Setyembre… subali't ito nga, maraming naghabla, kahit sinasabi na ng Santo Papa, ni Apo Pope Francis, na ito ang Jubilee of Mercy," Governor Marcos said.
The convoy left the Paoay church past 6:00pm, arriving in the Badoc church before 8:00pm. An hour later, the group had left Ilocos Norte and arrived at Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, at around 10:00p.m.
By 2:30am on October 15, they had reached San Fernando City, La Union, and will be heading for Pangasinan later today.
Governor Marcos expressed her gratitude to all participants of the masses and Kailian March: "Thank you very much for your support. I am certain that with our continued prayers, we will finally bring peace to my father, to my family, to this province, and to the entire country, the Republic of the Philippines. Tuloy tayo sa Libingan ng Mga Bayani."
