The pooch had Read more ... a muzzle wrapped around his mouth tightly, which prevented him to eat; his skin started to become necrotic; he was as thin as a dog can get; most likely, he escaped from a dog trader, where he would have ended up as a dinner in a fancy restaurant.
Dien Nguyen tried to help the dog, but the pooch ran, having lost confidence in the human race.
Rescuers are still looking for the dog and try to rescue him before it’s not too late.
Unfortunately, many other dogs share this dog’s fate. There are no animal protection laws. The dogs are either regarded as disposable objects or as food; the dog meat trade is flourishing – even high ranking politicians or police officers are seen dining in restaurant that serve dog meat, despite an official ban on this type of meat in the country (of course, just to save appearances)
Take action now to save Vietnam’s dogs! They deserve a far better life than this! Together we can make a chance.
