Meetings of the Council are chaired by the Mayor, who is currently Councillor Keith McLean.
However, if you would like to get a specific matter debated by the Council you are probably best to contact your local councillors to see if one of them would be willing to put forward a motion for the Council to discuss. While members of the public can ask questions, put forward petitions and represent a deputation, none of these will lead to a discussion unless there is a specific item on the agenda which relates.
