The McMahon family is very involved with politics, (Vince McMahon's wife ran for senate I believe twice). Well, right after the Academy Awards, Stephanie McMahon Levesque posted a tweet praising Patricia Arquette's comment's about equal pay for women. A young wrestler by the name of A.J. Lee, (Brooks), who I believe was the WWE female champion, (or maybe was 2 to 3 months earlier). Made responded to the tweet's by Mrs. McMahon-Levesque by thanking her but pointing out that the women for years in the WWE have been paid just a fraction of their male counterparts for years. Now both Stephanie McMahon-Levesque and Mr. McMahon himself made quick "thanks" to A.J. Lee Brook's for her tweet BUT only after Time and Marie Clare magazine's picked up on A.J. Lee-Brooks tweets. Almost 6 weeks to the day she suddenly retired, (after fulfilling the female main event part of WrestleMania). Now I understand you are somehow, (I guess from your recent encounter with the WWE org.), buddies with the WWE BUT MRS. Lee-Brooks and her husband, (former wrestler CM Punk), Phil Brooks have never let the WWE dictate what they say in front of the crowds. Mr. Brook's made famous a thing called the, "pipe bomb", where he would just grab the mic. and literally say what he thought. Some of the things he said and actually did being honest like that made him, I guess, the crowd favorite. Even today his influence is still felt. The "Go John Cena - Cena Sucks chant" originated because of Mr. Brooks/CM Punk and has been going on for nearly 2 years since then. I have a feeling you actually watched the WrestleMania event, (since you helped hype it). So take a chance with this and use this story, even as a filler piece. You and your staff will have some fun as well as expose people to a different area where financial inequality is happening hugely. And just maybe you will find out the real reason for A.J. Lee-Brooks retirement. Sincerely Zach Remember this my just be a fluff piece, (& you have many), but you may have a way of pushing for equal pay for equal work instead of maybe $0.30 for what a man gets paid a dollar for.
