The First World War Diaries of Stapleton Tench Eac 20/6/16 Sun shining brightly this morning. Worked hard on GHQ duplex in the morning. Received a letter from Dill, which has been on the road since the 6th. The French have but three meals per day the first in the morning is called “edijeuner” Read more ... the second at midday is called “le midi diner”. They do not take tea but have a meal in the evening at 7 pm or 8 pm which is called “le soir souper”. Things are indeed very slow here. The cafe’s are only open to soldiers from 6 pm until 8 pm, my duties do not terminate until 9 pm so am completely cut off from all intercourse with the natives, which is unfortunate as had set my heart on making the most of my stay on French soil by learning as much of the language as possible. For this reason I approached the people who occupy the adjoining cottage to our billets, to permit me to go too speak with them. There is also a young girl there 14 years of age, who will probably assist me with my learning. Had a wash and shave by the stream in the afternoon and afterwards wrote a letter to my aunt Ada. Our office is a perfect hive of industry. There are three Wheatstone circuits and several punching instruments working all day long, after duty at 9 pm went with several more fellows next door, where we had a basin of hot milk each and I put bread in mine. Thought it was a good thing for my cold, and only cost 1.5 c. Stayed gossiping until 10 pm and then retired. ---------------------------------------------------------- Other War news on this day in 1916: Eastern Front Germans penetrate Russian lines at Smorgon (Vilna), but are driven out; Russians cross Sereth (south of Czernowitz). Southern Front Slight Italian advance on Asiago plateau. Asiatic and Egyptian Theatres Capture of Mecca, Jeddah and most of Taif, and siege of Medina, by Sherif of Mecca, reported. Naval and Overseas Operations General Smuts' despatch on operations in German East Africa published. Between Avre and Oise, two enemy detachments, after a sharp bombardment, have tried to enter our lines. They were repulsed with grenades. On the left bank of the Meuse, intermittent artillery fighting in the (region of Hill 304); And on the right bank, the bombing has been violent in northern Thiaumont and in areas of Vaux-Chapter and Souville. An enemy squadron has launched many missiles at a village south of Verdun, which was the location of a camp for German prisoners. Several of them were killed or wounded. Mines exploded in Argonne (Bolante, Vauquois, Girl-Dead). The city of Kolomea, Galicia, is threatened by the Russians. The Pan-German press itself admits its disappointment and its confusion in the presence of lightning offensive Broussiloff. Field Marshal von Moltke died suddenly in Berlin. The English have made two raids on the Lys and Givenchy. To address Mexican threats, President Wilson called 135,000 militiamen to arms. ---------------------------------------------------------- Pictures: 1: Signals office C1916, 2: 1916 WWI Military issue Wheatstone resistance bridge galvanometer (Please select images for more information)

Greg Zach Ellison Jon, I wanted to use my free speech and let people know a little about the prophet Muhammad that they may not have know. He died at between 62 & 63 years old. His last wife was Aishah bint Abi Bakr. Muhammad married her when he was approx. 55 years Read more ... old. Aishah bint Abi Bakr is considered the "Mother Of Believers" and narrated 2210 Hadiths. Aishah was 6, (six), years old when she was born and 9, (nine), when Muhammad consummated his marriage with her. He died 1 month shy of her 14th birthday. A 14 year old. As I said she narrated 2210 Hadiths. You need to read the Hadiths along with the history of Muhammad to understand the Quran. The Quran is not written the normal types of books we think about. The books we read start at chapter 1 and go to the final chapter in a chronological story or instruction type. The Quran is segmented by starting with the largest amount of chapter/surah and going to the smallest chapter/surah and to follow where each of the chapters/surah's would have been written in Muhammad during his life you need the Hadiths and history of Muhammad life. The ninth surah is Muhammad's last recorded writings. The ninth surah is the surah/chapter that contains the "verse of the sword" and there is no merciful statements in it. This is important because the Quran uses a thing called "abrogated verses" which infers that the later verse, if in conflict with an earlier verse, is the overriding verse. Therefore all earlier peaceful verses that are in conflict with "the verse of the sword" no longer have any place in following Islam and are only still recorded in the Quran so that when the people read the Hadiths and the history of Muhammad the reader will understand when/where and what was going on at the time he had written each surah. There are actually 2 kinds of achieving conquest. The violent one we all know about but the one called Taquiah, (pronounced: ta-key-yah), is achieving the goal set out by the use of deception. Therefore though lying in Islam is wrong, ta-key-yah is not considered wrong since it in used in the furtherance of achieving Islamic conquest. All peaceful verses were recorded from the time he began Islam in Mecca and all of the violent verses were written during his time in Medina and then when he went back to Mecca & concurred it. After the time after he had gone to Medina and became a war lord it is recorded in the history of Muhammad and the Hadiths that he personally dug a ditch in one city and the personally, (without the help of 1 person), beheaded between 600 and 800 men, (+ families), who belonged to the, (Jewish), Al Koriza tribe. This is information the readers of your Facebook page most likely do not know. There are also many Islamic prayers asking Allah to help themselves to live like Muhammad. This pure history as recorded in in Islam's on books and records show that Muhammad himself was a mass murder and a pedophile. Now what I have written about is 100% true and factual but I know these things being written about and shown to you and the readers of your Facebook page will piss a lot of crazies off. Especially when I point out the fact that the prophet Muhammad had sex with a girl when she was just 9 years old. making him in all essence a pedophile as well as being a mass murderer. Am I afraid? No, not at all. Crazy people getting upset about having the truth come out happens all the time just look at what has just happened because of the HBO Scientology documentary. To cower at telling the truth is betrayal of all those who should know as well as not showing any real compassion for anyone at all. Hopefully we can finally as a people stand up for what is right and truthful. I do hope that anyone who actually has taken the time to read this post searches out those thing I have said to see for themselves the truth just as I have. Only a fool would believe or condemn what I have written here about without investigating themselves to find the truth. The reason I have done my research is because I personally cannot praise or reject as a lie what I don't truly know about. Take Care Jon, Staff and Readers And God Bless
