Here lies the problem. after spending hourrrrs on this, i realized i can unplug the modem completely, and plug my computer directly into the wall. This gives me internet. With the modem plugged into the wall, and my computer plugged into a port on the modem, i have internet. When connecting the router to the modem, the port designated for router/modem, is already used up by the modem to wall cord. First of all, do i need a modem at all? Is my building hosting a network and i'm not aware? How do i connect my wireless router to my modem?? i've tried everything. i can not get any sort of wireless signal from my router. i've googled every article i can think of, i'm still lost.
side note....did i get ripped off even having internet "hooked up"?? why am i able to get a connection directly via wall jack to computer? The network name on the is "home network 2" btw. How do i hook up my wireless router??!!! oh ya, the router didn't come with any instructions, and is completely in korean.
Anyways, TIA to an help or comments!
